Computer Labs and Student Technology and Study Services: Dallas Campus

Computer Lab

There is an open computer lab on the sixth floor. There are 116 PCs, two Macs, four scanners, five dual monitor Pcs, and five LaserJet printers. Four chargers are available for student use in the computer lab upon request. Black and white printing is free to TWU students. Student assistants are scheduled to be available (hours may vary). The lab houses two collaboration stations, one is connected via Solstice where students can plug in their own device. Both allow students to work together and share documents on a large screen. 

Additionally, there are 8 PCs available for student use in the Café on the third floor and near the fitness center. 

Kiosks

The 1st floor kiosk is used for printing temporary parking permits. 

The 2nd through 8th floors each have a PC kiosk. Students may log-in with their TWU credentials to access the internet and other software. 

Library Resources

Students may reserve study rooms and checkout laptops and charging cords. There is a quiet area that houses fourteen PCs. There is a nap pod that can be reserved. Charging Stations

Five charging stations with power outlets and USB ports are available inside the computer lab on 6th floor. A mobile charging station is located in the new student lounge area (student ID is required to enter).

Outlets

All tiered classrooms have outlets in select seats.

Standard Software in Computer Labs

All PCs run Windows 10 with the Microsoft Office Suite, Internet Explorer and Chrome browsers, SPSS 25, NCLEX, and Respondus Lockdown Browser. 

Wifi Access

The entire building has OPEN wireless access; the patio and the parking garage are also wifi-enabled. 

Hours of Operation

Monday - Sunday 5:00 am - midnight.

Campus will observe official university closures.
