Spam Filtering Service (Proofpoint)

Features

IT Solutions uses Proofpoint Enterprise Protection to block known and unknown vectors. Proofpoint blocks:

  • Polymorphic and zero-day malware
  • Weaponized attachments
  • Malicious embedded URLs
  • Other advanced exploits

…as well as spam, viruses, phish, bulk mail, and more.

Getting started

TWU provides this service to all “@twu.edu” email accounts. TWU Gmail has an additional layer of spam filtering provided by Google. Alumni email is only protected by Google’s spam filters.

To access Proofpoint, one must be connected to the TWU network (either on campus or via VPN).
