TWU Alumni Mail

Alumni that graduated more than six months ago may use the following steps to create their yourname@alumni.twu.edu email account.

1. Go to https://newalumnimail.twu.edu.
2. Complete the required fields and register using your name and Alumni ID number.
3. For your Alumni ID number, you may call the TWU Alumni Office at 940-898-2586 to verify your identity.
4. Choose a complex password. Passwords must meet TWU's complexity requirements. For more information, please see TWU's Password Construction Guidelines.
5. Click Create My Account.
6. A confirmation email will be sent to the email address specified in the sign-up form. Follow the instructions within that email to access your TWU Alumni Mail account.
7. Upon access, set up your TWU Alumni Mail account.
8. There may be an approximate 15 minute wait before the account is set up.
9. Once the account is confirmed, go to http://mail.alumni.twu.edu to sign in and use your new TWU Alumni Mail address.​

Access Existing Alumni Email Account

1. Go to http://mail.alumni.twu.edu.
2. If you have other Gmail accounts and are unable to get the page to load, try using an Incognito or Private Browser to log into http://mail.alumni.twu.edu
3. Enter alumni email address: firstname.lastname@alumni.twu.edu
4. Enter alumni password. It is a different password from your Portal account.
5. Click Login

Move Your @TWU Stuff to Your Alumni Account

Your @twu.edu email/Google Drive/OneDrive will not always be available. We recommend you Migrate Your TWU GMail Account to a Personal or Alumni GMail Account to avoid data loss. 

TWU Alumni Mail FAQs

How much storage does TWU Alumni Mail provide?

TWU Alumni Mail is powered by Google and provides up to 5 GB of storage. The account storage is shared across Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Photos.

What if my account is over the storage limit?

If your account is over the storage limit, Google states the following can happen:

• You can’t upload new files or images to Google Drive.
• You can't back up any photos and videos to Google Photos.
• Your ability to send and receive email in Gmail can be impacted.
• You can't create new files in collaborative content creation apps like Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drawings, Forms, and Jamboard. Until you reduce your storage usage, nobody can edit or copy your affected files.
• You can’t back up new Recorder files.

Note: You can still sign into and access your Google Account. Please log in at http://mail.alumni.twu.edu with your @alumni.twu.edu account to address the storage used in your account. Files will need to be removed or deleted to maintain storage limits. 

Can I forward my @twu.edu address to TWU Alumni Mail?

Can I forward my TWU Alumni Mail address to another email address?

Yes. Alumni wishing to forward their @alumni.twu.edu email address will first need to log in at http://mail.alumni.twu.edu. Then follow the instructions here, beginning at step two.

Can I set up my TWU Alumni Mail in an external mail client on my mobile device?

Can I use TWU Alumni Mail with my GMail app?

Yes! After downloading the GMail app on your data-enabled mobile device, simply log in using your new TWU Alumni Mail address and password.
