Before connecting to a TWU desktop from any device, both Cisco Anyconnect and DUO Authentication must be installed and authenticated (instructions).
If you have not requested access, create a
service ticket to gain access to your Remote Desktop (aka your on campus computer).
Step 2: Open Remote Desktop
- From the start menu, select Windows Accessories and double-click the Remote Desktop icon. If Remote Desktop icon is not on the desktop, click the start button and in the search box type mstsc.
- Input the desktop TWU asset tag number followed by twu.fs.dew.twu (The asset tag number is the tag with the barcode.) For example: 000000twu.fs.dew.twu
- Click Connect. A login screen will appear. Use fs\username and your Portal password to log in to the remote computer. If a message pops up about the identity of the remote computer due to a problem with its security certificate, check the box that says “Don’t ask me again for connections to this computer”
- Click yes.
