​Blagg-Huey Library

• The library has about 300 power outlets throughout the building that are available for students.  Many outlets have enough slots for 4 devices to be plugged in at one time.
• The primary computer area is on the first floor, consisting of dozens of computers, 5 printers, a color printer, and 2 mobile charging stations.
• 2 document scanners are available on the first floor.
• The third floor has 3 iMacs and 5 other computers with Adobe Creative Cloud installed, as well as a flatbed scanner.
• The third floor has the Graduate Study Room for graduates with one computer with a flatbed scanner, and lockers to store belongings.
• The ground floor has 5 computers inside the silent area for a silent working environment.
• Chromebooks and headphones are available for checkout from the main information desk.
• There is a Laptop kiosk on the first floor where you can quickly get a laptop for up to 4 hours.
• iPhone and Android phone chargers are available for 4-hour checkout periods.
• 1 UbiDuo communication device is available for checkout as well as several real-time translation devices for most languages.

Campus Computer Labs

All PCs on campus have Microsoft Office 2016, Adobe Acrobat DC, Blackboard Collaborate, IBM SPSS Statistics, Respondus Lockdown Browser(testing software), Malware Bytes, VLC Media Player, and Alertus Desktop Alert for campus-wide emergency notification. Refer to the campus map for building abbreviations and locations.

General Use Labs

We have expanded BYOD printing to all printers that have GoPrint release stations. They are located in ASB 107, the Library, Guinn Commons lab, HDB 107, Lowry Woods lab, Megalab, MCL first floor, PH 104, PH 105, and the Student Union first floor.

The Megalab (MCL 201) has 85 computers. In addition to the standard Microsoft Office and SPSS Statistics software, it has 10 stations with Nutritionist Pro, NDSR, NVIVO, and Computrition Hospitality Suite. Available resources include 4 duplex (two-sided) black & white printers, one scanner/copier, and BYOD printing (on Printer D).  There is also a color printer in the computer area. Color printing costs $0.40 per page. Visa, MasterCard and Discover are accepted. Fall/Spring Hours of Operation: Monday-Thursday 7am-9pm, Friday 7am-5pm Summer Hours of Operation: Monday-Friday 7am-5pm

Stations #17-21 also have Nutritionist Pro, NDSR, NVIVO, and Computrition Hospitality Suite. Two of the stations are dedicated to scanning. There are 2 two-sided black and white printers. ASB 107 has 40 PCs with the standard package of Microsoft Office and SPSS Statistics software. There are also 2 two-sided black and white printers. Hours of Operation: Monday-Friday 7am-9pm (with TWU ID card)

HDB/Woodcock Hall 107 has 6 PCs with the standard package of Microsoft Office and SPSS Statistics software. There is also a two-sided black and white printer. BYOD printing is available at this location. Hours of Operation: Monday-Friday 7:30am-9pm

Student Union at Hubbard Hall has 8 PCs with the standard package of Microsoft Office and SPSS Statistics software. There are also 8 BYOD stations and a two-sided black and white printer. Hours of Operation: Monday-Thursday 6am-Midnight, Friday-Sunday 6am-10pm

ART 106 has 17 Apple Computers. They contain 123D Design, 123D Make, Adobe Creative Cloud 2019, Arduino, Audacity, Carbide Create, Carbide Motion, Cura, Final Cut Pro, Fusion 360, GarageBand, MakerBot, Meshlab, Meshmixer, Sculptris, and SketchUp. It also has a two-sided black & white printer.

ART 303C has 3 Apple Computers. They contain 123D Design, 123D Make, Adobe Creative Cloud 2019, Audacity, and SketchUp. It also has a two-sided black & white printer.

ASSC 365 (SLRC) has 19 PCs with Google Earth and Odyssey Student 5.1. 4 of the PCs contain SigmaPlot, Spartan Student, and ChemDraw. It also has a scanner and a two-sided black and white printer. Tutoring is also available. Hours of Operation: Monday-Thursday 9:00am-4:00pm

DGL 123 has 8 Apple Computers with GarageBand, Microsoft Office 2016 and Logic Pro X. In addition, there is a two-sided black & white printer.

GRB 334 has 8 PCs with the standard package of Microsoft Office and SPSS Statistics software.

MCL 307 (Math & Technology Success center) has 17 PCs with our Math/computer Science Software package, which includes: 7-Zip, Active Presenter, Anaconda, AnyLogic, Audacity, Jupyter Notebook and Spyder for Anaconda, Fritzing, GeoGebra, GIMP, Git, GSP,  HeidiSQL, Java Development Kit, LayOut, Logoism, Maple V, Matlab, MikeTeX, MySQL Workbench, NetLogo, Notepad++, OpenRefine, Oracle VM VirtualBox, Processing, PuTTY, PyMOL, Python, R, RStudio, SAS, SketchUp, Venism PLE, WinEdt 10, and WinSCP.   In addition, there is a two-sided black & white printer. MCL 310 (Virtual Reality Lab) has 11 PCs with specialty software, 4 3D printers, and 2 docking stations for use with Raspberry Pi. It also has a two-sided black & white printer.

MUS 223 has 4 PCs and 4 Apple computers with Adobe Creative Cloud 2019, ARIA Player , Finale, Sibelius, and MuseScore. The Apple computers also have GarageBand, and PyWare 3D. It also has a two-sided black & white printer.

PH 116 has 4 PCs with the standard package of Microsoft Office and SPSS Statistics software. It also has a two-sided black & white printer.

PH 119 has 4 PCS with Adobe LiveCycle ES2 , APEAS, SAS 9.3, SAS Graph ODS Graphics Editor 9.3, and SAS IML Studio 3.4.

PH 123 has 6 PCs with Anybody 5.2, DTX, Kwon 3D XP, MatLab R2018a, and Visual Studio.

SH 105 Center for Research Design and Analysis has 12 PCs with GPower, NVIVO, NetSupport School, R, RStudio, and SAS.

Housing Technology Services

All computer labs and technology assistance in residence halls are for TWU residential students.

• Guinn Commons has 23 PCs with the standard package of Microsoft Office and SPSS Statistics software. There are also 10 BYOD stations, BYOD printing, and a collaboration room available. It also has a scanner station and a two-sided black & white printer.

• Lowry Woods has 8 PCs with the standard package of Microsoft Office and SPSS Statistics software. It also has a two-sided black & white printer.

• Parliament Village has 8 PCs with the standard package of Microsoft Office and SPSS Statistics software. It also has a two-sided black & white printer.

There are lounges in the Guinn/Stark Commons with hardwire and wifi connections for resident and guest use.

Mobile Labs
Mobile labs contain multiple laptops available for use by specific departments. The laptops in these mobile labs include specialized software to serve the department’s needs. Some departments also allow students to check out these laptops to complete work off-campus using the specialized software included in each mobile lab.

Veteran and Military Student Center
TWU has a dedicated space for our military-affiliated students. The Veteran and Military Student Center is located on the Denton Campus in Student Union at Hubbard Hall rooms 106 and 107. The center is managed by the CARE office and offers a quiet study space with computers and desks, as well as a space to relax with a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker.

Wifi Access

There is Wi-Fi in the student center, all classroom buildings (except ULB),and  all on-campus dorms. Outdoors there is coverage through the center of campus and in the breezeway/courtyard between the Parliament village buildings.
