New Employee Orientation

The Office of Human Resources is operational in a remote status. Remote service options include virtual meetings through Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, or GoToMeeting, telephone and email.  HR is providing on-campus assistance by scheduled appointment only, to conduct business that cannot be performed remotely, e.g. I-9 employment identity verification, etc. Contact the front desk or the applicable HR representative if an in person meeting is required.

New Employee Orientation For Regular Staff All Campuses

All new and returning employees MUST view all presentations within two weeks of employment. All new employees must complete New Hire packet on the first day of employment. Departments should send new employees to the Office of Human Resources to complete payroll forms.  All offers of employment extended by TWU will be contingent upon the applicant’s ability to supply the Office of Human Resources with documents which provide proof of identity and eligibility for employment in the United States.

Houston Employees should also meet with Shelia Washington (if you are a Nursing New Hire), Deborah Unruh (if you are an international student new hire) or Carlos DaSilva (for all other remaining Houston new hires) in order to complete the I-9 in the New Hire packet on the first day of employment.  All offers of employment extended by TWU will be contingent upon the applicant’s ability to supply the Office of Human Resources with documents which provide proof of identity and eligibility for employment in the United States.   


New Employee Orientation For Temporary Staff

New temporary employees (employees with an appointment of 4 1/2 months or less) should complete the Online Temporary Employee Orientation on or before their first day of employment.  All new temporary employees must complete New Hire packet on the first day of employment.
