Canvas Mobile Apps (Instructors)

You can access Canvas from any browser on your Android or iOS device. However, some features may not function as expected compared to viewing Canvas in a fully supported desktop browser.

On mobile devices, Canvas is designed to be used within Canvas mobile applications. Canvas pages within a mobile browser are only supported when an action in the app links directly to the browser, such as when a student takes certain types of quizzes. Support is not extended to pages that cannot currently be used in the app, such as Conferences or Collaborations.

Canvas Mobile Applications (Download on both Smartphones and Tablets)

  1. Canvas Teacher. The Canvas Teacher app allows teachers to manage their courses and use Canvas more efficiently from a mobile device. Download the Canvas Teacher app on Android and iOS devices. View Canvas Teacher mobile features by version and device.
  2. MagicMarker. The MagicMarker app is designed for instructors and is the efficient and effective way of recording mastery of learning outcomes in the classroom. MagicMarker requires a Canvas account and syncs with the Learning Mastery Gradebook in Canvas.
  3. Polls for Canvas. The Polls for Canvas app is the easy way for instructors to request student opinion in the classroom. All students need is a smartphone. Download the Polls for Canvas app on Android and iOS devices.
