IT Solutions assists in evaluating enterprise business application integration needs and ensuring the solution approach will fulfill the requested needs. This service can be requested whenever there is a need for integrating enterprise business applications which usually means accessing source data, transforming the data, and providing target data into a target system. A strategy of API FIRST is being followed to make sure IT Solutions can provide future-oriented integration support to the best benefit of the University.
IT Solutions will evaluate current and future needs in order to develop an overall strategy that will meet both the department’s and the University’s goals. Working closely with contracted vendors and available University resources, IT Solutions will ensure the overall solution is the best value while maintaining standards of performance and quality.
Examples of this service are: Requesting a point-to-point integration (data extract, transformation, data delivery for import); Request for a new API (reusable API for multiple business applications; i.e. Student information); One-way or two-way integrations between two applications.
Getting started and support
- Contact the Technology Service Desk at 940-898-3971, servicedesk@twu.edu, techchat.twu.edu, or submit a request through the Technology Service Catalog.
- The request will be evaluated by the team manager, and a determination will be made whether the request is a regular service request which can be fulfilled with an effort of 5 business days, or whether the request needs to become a project. If the request is part of a project, or becomes a project, it will be governed and fulfilled based on current IT Solutions Projects guidelines.
