Technology Knowledge Base

Features

The Technology Knowledge Base is a part of the TeamDynamix suite of applications. This suite includes the Technology Service Catalog, the Technology Knowledge Base, and Technology Questions (FAQ).

The Technology Knowledge Base contains articles with instructions about various services. The articles include additional information about the service, as well as step-by-step instructions for using the service. Articles are generated from frequently asked questions, commonly utilized features or functions, and/or basic steps to get started.

A knowledge base article is text written by a knowledge expert that explains step-by-step instructions related to a technology service; how to solve common problems with a technology service; and/or to direct the technology service user to outside support documentation. Users are encouraged to submit feedback on Knowledge Base Articles. Temporary Knowledge Base Articles may be created ad-hoc with descriptions of work-around solutions. These articles should be deactivated and new articles created when the permanent solution is released. Technology Knowledge Base Articles serve an instructional purpose. Ex. The Technology Knowledge Base articles allow end-users to rate articles and share feedback for ongoing improvement. Some articles are only accessible when the user logs-in with the TWU Pioneer Portal credentials. Staff in IT Solutions regularly review feedback and make adjustments to the Knowledge Base. It is most helpful when the feedback includes a comment.
