Send From a Public Folder

Body

After rights to "send-as" have been granted, follow these steps:

Through Outlook Client

  1. Add the From field if missing from the new message view (how to)
  2. In the new message window, in From Select Other Email Addresses
  3. Click From
  4. Type in Public folder name (should be able to locate with Global Address List, if not, then select the Public Folders Address Book. If you are using a Shared Inbox, you will need to choose All Users.)
  5. After selected folder name, click on OK

Through owa.twu.edu

  1. Select the user's inbox
  2. Create a new email message
  3. Right-click "from" and remove the personal email address
  4. Type in Public folder name (should be able to locate with Global Address List, if not, then select the Public Folders Address Book. If you are using a Shared Inbox, you will need to choose All Users.)
  5. After selected folder name, click on OK.
  6. Finish creating and sending email

It is best practice to pull the public folder from the address book for each message sent to prevent undeliverable messages.
