Microsoft Surface not turning or staying on

1. Press and hold the power button on the Surface for 30 seconds, then release.
2. Press and hold both the volume down and power buttons for at least 15 seconds. The screen may flash the Surface logo, but continue holding the buttons down for at least 15 seconds.
3. Release both buttons and wait 10 seconds.
4. Press and release the power button to turn the Surface back on. The Surface logo will be displayed. The device should now start normally.
