Canvas Mobile Apps (Students)

Mobile Browsing

You can access your courses on your mobile device using either the Canvas Student app or simply by navigating to Canvas from a mobile browser.

Canvas Student App

The Canvas Student app is available for iOS and Android devices. Installing the Canvas Student app on your smartphone or tablet can help you stay connected to your courses.  Depending on your device, not all Canvas features may be available on the app at this time. Here are some benefits of the Canvas Student App:

  • Receive notifications when you receive a new message in the Canvas Inbox or someone replies to a Discussion Topic you’re subscribed to.
  • Communicate with instructors or classmates.
  • Access course materials on the go.
  • Participate in some activities or submit certain assignments. You may even be able to take a quiz from your mobile device.

You probably won’t be very successful trying to complete all course work through the Canvas Student app, so you’ll still need to access courses regularly from a laptop or desktop computer.
