Set Banner Message In Oracle Environment

Step-By-Step Instructions

To set a banner message, do these tasks:

  1. In the Setup and Maintenance work area, search for the "Manage Administrator Profile Values" task in the Application Extensions functional area.

  2. Search for the Banner Message (FND_BANNER_MESSAGE) profile option.

  3. In the FND_BANNER_MESSAGE: Profile Values section, click the New icon.

  4. From the Profile Level list, select Site.

  5. In the Profile Value field, enter the message that you want to show in the global header.

    Note: The length of your message must not exceed 1000 characters. If your message has more than 77 characters, only the first 77 characters are displayed on the global header, and the complete message appears when you hover over the banner.

  6. Click Save and Close.

  7. Sign out and sign back in to see the banner message.
