If a user receives an error that the software can't be used in a virtual environment:

  1. Click the Start Menu
  2. Locate "Device Manager"
  3. Look for any references to VM or Virtual Machine drivers
    1. If found, uninstall and reboot the device and it should function
  4. If no VM drivers found, the user will need to contact Respondus support directly
