Unlike a “help desk”, which primarily provides only information, a “service desk” owns the incidents and questions reported to it and has the training and ability to resolve a high percentage of queries, thereby facilitating faster resolution times to its customers and users.

The Office of Teaching and Learning with Technology (TLT) works with all instructors to incorporate technology into courses, and provides pedagogical and technical certification workshops, events, and specialized programs on a variety of topics. TLT serves as the point-of-contact to seek approval for off-campus face-to-face courses and educational activities offered outside Texas. TLT provides information and administrative services to online programs and future and current distance learners.
