Report Phishing

If you receive an email that you suspect is phishing:

  1. Don't click any link(s) or attachment(s).
  2. Report as quickly as possible

Emails that are caught by the spam or junk folder in email do not need to be reported. For faculty and staff, any emails that are listed as spam in the Proofpoint digest do not need to be reported. 

Report Suspect Phishing

1.  Create a ticket or email using ticketing system email address: ServiceDesk@twu.edu.
2.  Attach (do not forward) the spam email.

You should receive a reply confirming receipt with instructions to delete the spam email.

*To Attach an email to an email in Outlook:

1.  Click New email.
2.  Click Attach item.
3.  Click Outlook item.
4.  Double-click the email in question.

*Note ... if you feel you are being threatened in the email, please notify DPS at 940-898-2911*
