Faculty and staff who have been granted a TWU Named Adobe Acrobat license can access Adobe Acrobat through the Acrobat Web App. This web-based version is intended to replace any previously downloaded or installed version until a permanent solution is available.

Important: This is not a free version of Acrobat. It is a licensed product provided through TWU.

How to Sign in to the Acrobat Web App

Once your Acrobat license has been granted:

  1. You may ignore the automated email from Adobe.
  2. Go directly to the Acrobat Web App: https://acrobat.adobe.com/us/en/
  3. Click Sign In in the upper-right corner.
  4. Select Continue with Google.
  5. Enter and select your TWU email address.
  6. Choose Company or School Account.
  7. If prompted with multiple options, select TWU Named Acrobat.
  8. You should now be logged into the Acrobat Web App with full licensed access.

Troubleshooting Access Issues

If you are unable to access licensed features after your license has been issued, try the following steps:

  1. Sign out of the Adobe Acrobat Web App completely.
  2. Sign out of your Google account.
  3. Close all browser tabs, especially any open Adobe.com tabs.
  4. Close your web browser entirely.
  5. Reopen your browser.
  6. Sign back in following the steps outlined above.

This process has resolved instances where users did not immediately see access to licensed features after their license was granted.

Additional Information

  • The Acrobat Web App is intended to replace previously installed desktop Acrobat licenses.
  • Access is tied to your TWU Named License.
  • Be sure to sign in using your TWU email address and select the correct account type.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why am I experiencing errors with the Adobe Acrobat desktop app?
A: The issue is caused by certain system files installed by Adobe on local devices. It is a known technical problem and is not related to TWU system.

Q: Is there a problem with my TWU license or account?
A: No. Your TWU Adobe license remains active and valid. These issues are not related to account status, licensing, or access permissions.

Q: Should I uninstall and reinstall the desktop app?
A: Adobe Support recommends reinstalling the application, but this solution has not consistently resolved the issue. ITS does not currently recommend reinstalling, as the errors may return.

Q: Is the Adobe Acrobat Web App a free or limited version?
A: No. The Web App uses your existing TWU-paid Adobe license and provides access to the same PDF editing, signing, and document management features as the desktop application.

Q: Do I need to uninstall the desktop version?
A: No. You may leave it installed, but ITS recommends using the Web App until Adobe provides a permanent fix.
