Pioneer Portal is a user’s gateway to self-service.

All faculty, staff, and students associated with Texas Woman's University must have a Pioneer Portal account. This account is the key to unlocking several information pages that are found only on TWU's Intranet (Portal).

Individuals such as contractors, pre-employment individuals, and other University Affiliates may be eligible for TWU Portal usernames.

Shibboleth is the authentication system that enables access to web applications via single sign-on. Portal ID account holders use Shibboleth to gain access to these resources.

By allowing students access to computers in class, they can fully engage their professor during class time and learn to effectively use the programs required for class.

Canvas is a web-based application which allows instructors to put class materials on the Internet. It provides a variety of tools to facilitate teaching and learning. The basic tools used in a Canvas course include a syllabus, learning materials (documents, videos, etc.), discussions, calendar, inbox and notifications, announcements, grades, quizzes, and assignments. All academic courses taught at TWU use Canvas.

Miscellaneous Agreements are agreements that do not fall under Academic Agreements or Procurement Contracts.

Colleague is the software package that houses the University’s information in areas that include processing of student applications and registration, scheduling of classes, assisting in financial aid processing, processing of payment of tuition and fees, reporting grades and transcripts, and more.
