Step 1) Navigate to My Team (for Line Managers) or My Client Groups (for everyone else).
Step 2) Select Employment Info.
Step 3) Search for the student or hourly person - select any of the assignments on the list and they all pull in.
Step 4) Select the assignment to edit by pulling down the Business Title, then selecting the three dots menu "..." to Change Assignment.

Scroll each assignment if you are unsure which one is yours. The Assignment details, Manager, Salary, etc is all there on one screen.
Step 5) Toggle on all the info to include.
Step 6) On the "When and Why" screen, select the following:
- Use of effective date. 9/1/2025.
- Assignment change. 000 - Student for all hourly or work study assignments OR 900 - Establish new job/appointment or reappointment for all hourly staff positions.
- Note: No need to change the position code for minimal changes.

Step 7) If you did not change the position code, there is nothing to toggle on this screen. Continue forward.
Step 8) For the assignment screen, the minimum amount of changes for the new Academic Year is the Appointment Start and Appoint End dates. Example: Start = 9/1/25, End = 8/31/26 (or sooner if applicable).
Step 9) For the manager screen, no need to make changes if there are no changes to manager - continue forward or submit if steps 10 - 13 are not applicable.
Step 10) Add payroll details.
Step 11) Add salary details.
Step 12) Add any direct reports if applicable.
Step 13) Add any applicable comments or attachments if needed.
Step 14) Submit.
Note:
The Student Classification and Compensation Plan for our Student Assistant and Student Work Study assignments is attached. All student assistant assignments must utilize this classification system.
