One Time Merit Payment Eligibility on 8/1/2023

Staff:

All staff employees in a regular full-time or regular part-time position receiving a “proficient,” “highly effective,” or “exceptional” rating on their most recent performance evaluation (June 1, 2021 - May 31, 2022) will receive a one-time merit payment of $2000 (prorated for employees in regular part-time positions). Staff employees must have been employed in a regular full-time or part-time position prior to January 1, 2023, to be eligible for the payment.

Faculty:

All eligible faculty members in a regular full-time or regular part-time position receiving an “effective,” or “exceptional,” rating using the most recent Periodic Performance Review (PPR) will receive a one-time merit payment of $2000 (prorated for faculty members in regular part-time positions). If the most recent review was a promotion and/or tenure review, a positive result from the review will result in eligibility for the payment. Faculty members must have been employed in a regular full-time or part-time position prior to January 1, 2023, to be eligible for the payment.

Notes:

  • Faculty and staff must be continuously employed in their eligible position on the effective date of July 1, 2023, and the paycheck date of August 1, 2023, to receive the one-time merit payment.
  • Visiting faculty and RTO faculty are ineligible for the one-time payment.
  • Faculty and staff with disciplinary actions of written warnings or above within the year prior to August 1, 2023, or on performance improvement plans will not be eligible for the one-time payment.
