Respondus LockDown Browser is a custom browser that locks down the online testing environment within Canvas. When students use LockDown Browser with Canvas Quiz, they are unable to print, copy, go to other websites, access other applications, or close the test until it is submitted for grading. Tests created for use with Respondus LockDown Browser cannot be accessed with standard browsers.
As Classic Quizzes move toward a June 2024 planned retirement, it is recommended that instructors begin exploring New Quizzes. You can still create, edit, and use Classic Quizzes. In the Fall 2022 term, you will be able to create quizzes using Classic Quizzes and New Quizzes.
Use Google Forms to generate a survey or take a quiz. There are times when the results of a survey or quiz need to be collected across multiple Canvas courses or multiple sections of a course.
The question banks in Classic Quizzes cannot be directly migrated to the item banks in New Quizzes. This article presents a work around.
