VPN: reason 442 error when trying to connect

Summary

Cisco VPN client gives error "Secure vpn connection terminated locally by the client Reason 442" when trying to connect VPN.

Body

1. Go to Start > Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center > Change adapter settings.
2. There should be a local area connectionwith a description saying "Cisco Systems VPN Adapter..."
3. Right-click on that local area connection and click Enable.
4. Verify VPN is able to connect.
