To strengthen email security and help protect the TWU community from phishing and similar email threats, a new “Report Suspicious” tool is now available in both Outlook and Gmail.
This feature makes it easier than ever to report suspicious emails directly to the TWU Information Security Team for review. When you report a message using this tool, it is automatically forwarded to the security team for analysis - helping prevent potential threats from spreading across the university network.
How to Use the “Report Suspicious” Tool
In Outlook (Desktop or Web):
	- Open the suspicious email message.

	- In the toolbar, under the Report group, click the Report Suspicious icon.

	- A confirmation dialog will appear asking, “Are you sure you want to report this email?”

	- Click Report to send the message to the TWU Information Security Team.

In Gmail:
	- Open the suspicious email message.

	- If the side panel is hidden, click the Show side panel icon in the lower-right corner.

	- Click the Report Suspicious icon on the right side of the Gmail screen.

	- A confirmation dialog will appear asking, “Report Phish?”

	- Click Report Phish to send the message to the TWU Information Security Team.

Important Note
The Report Suspicious tool does not work when reporting from a public folder. If you find a suspicious message in a public folder, please follow the steps in the Report Phishing Knowledge Base article.
