Google offers tools to help you quickly view and manage your storage use.
Check storage in Google Shared drives
- Go to https://drive.google.com/drive/shared-drives to view a list of the shared drives that you manage or are a member of.
- Select the shared drive you’d like to view the storage of and click the View details icon in the upper right corner. You'll see storage used under Driver Details.

What (and doesn’t) count towards storage?
- Most files, including Google file types (Docs, Sheets, and Slides), PDFs, images, and videos count towards the storage limit where they are stored.
- Items stored in Trash do count towards the storage limit until they’re permanently deleted.
- Storage used in shared drives doesn’t count against your individual storage limit.
