Health and Safety Compliance

To ensure the safety and comfort of all residents, University Housing staff members conduct fire, health, and safety inspections of all student rooms/apartment each semester.

Students living in campus housing are expected to comply with all federal and state laws as well as TWU policies, regulations, and procedures. Violations may result in fines, sanctions, and/or other student conduct action.

Residents shall comply with all requests from the Department of University Housing pertaining to the correction of health and safety concerns or violations in their assigned rooms or apartments. A specific amount of time will be given (typically 24 hours) to correct the health and safety concerns or violations. Should the resident fail to correct the violation in the prescribed time period, Housing reserves the right to send in maintenance/cleaning staff to correct the concerns or violation and the resident will be responsible for the cost of such.
