Troubleshooting Google Integration in Canvas

If there are difficulties in Google Drive integration in a Canvas course, there are a few things you can do to try and resolve this issue. Ensure that Google Chrome software is up-to-date

  • Try clearing the browser cache by following the steps found here
  • https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/32050
  • Check through any installed and activated extensions for any privacy extensions that may impair the browser's ability to log into Google Drive within a Canvas course
    • You can access the Extensions by visiting chrome://extensions where the specific extensions' permissions can be modified or disabled
  • Complete the following steps to ensure that instructure.com is not blocked through the browser
    1. Launch Google Chrome, click the three dots button in the upper right corner, then click Settings 
    2. Scroll down to the bottom and click Advanced.
    3. Under System, click Open proxy settings.
