Features
Existing physical servers can be relocated into a virtual environment and new servers can be initiated there. Because one physical machine can hold multiple virtual servers and virtual servers are less expensive, they are faster and more efficient to maintain than physical servers. Server virtualization improves service and gives increased value for TWU in several ways:
-
Virtual servers require considerably less total physical space and energy consumption than physical servers saving money and reducing the states carbon footprint.
-
TWU Technology manages multiple servers as clusters lowering overhead costs and standardizing updates, maintenance and other operating procedures.
-
The system design allows for greater fluctuation in demand from individual systems within a cluster.
-
Another benefit for virtualization is cost avoidance, or reducing the net new physical expenditures for new servers.
