Qwest provides a HD-quality audio conference call. Qwest can accept up to 150 parties to call into one Conference Bridge. This service is intended for TWU conference calls that need to call 3 or more parties.

Getting started

To reserve a Conference Call: Request a reservation for a Qwest conference session by contacting the Service Desk and providing the following information:

  • Date and time of the conference call
  • Duration of the conference call (estimated)
  • Campus location, department name, and TWU account number for associated charges

Unified Communications will send a confirmation to the requester containing the following information:

  • Time, date, duration of call
  • Instructions for moderator (hosting party) and participants to call-in to the conference session

Cost

As this is a third-party service, there are fees associated with its usage. The bill is provided to the Technology Service Desk by Centurylink Audio Conferencing and will reflect the total amount of minutes (all parties) per session and full amount charged for the total minutes. The current rate charged is three cents per minute per party. All charges incurred for each conference session are billed to Unified Communications and in return Unified Communications  IDTs the requestor's department for the charges that apply to the conference session.
