Wifi Troubleshooting on Mac

​If experiencing issues with a Wi-Fi connection, try the following steps.

  1. Restart Wi-Fi
  2. Select the Wi-Fi icon in the top right-hand corner in the menu bar.
  3. Select turn off Wi-Fi.
  4. Select the Wi-Fi icon again and choose the Wi-Fi network to connect to.

If there are stilll Wi-Fi issues, try the steps below.

  1. Forget the Wi-Fi network Select the Wi-Fi icon in the top right-hand corner in the menu bar.
  2. Select Open Network Preferences.
  3. Click the Advanced button in the right-hand pane.
  4. Select the Wi-Fi connection under Preferred Networks and click the "-" button under it to forget that network.
  5. Click Ok.
  6. Click Apply.
  7. Under Network Name, select the Wi-Fi connection  to connect to and enter the network password if prompted.
