Three-Way Calling Using a Polycom Voice Point

Tags faculty staff

Note: TWU’s conference room telephone system supports a maximum of three parties on a conference call regardless location. This phone must be plugged into a working digital line phone jack.

To Establish a 3-Way Call

  1. Call the 1st party.
    • This procedure also works if a call from is placed or received from on or off campus.
  2. While still in conversation with the 1st party, ask them to wait while calling the 2nd party.
  3. Press the conference button (look for a picture of three people standing in a group). This places the 1st party on hold.
  4. Call the number for the 2nd party by dialing the 10 digit extension.
  5. After the 2nd party answers, ask them to wait while setting up the 3-way conference call.
    • Press the conference button or JOIN soft key (on the LCD screen) to connect the parties.
  6. The 3-way conference call has now been established. Each party can now listen to and speak to each other.
  7. If at any point in the conversation one party hangs up, the remaining parties will remain on the line.
  8. To end the call(s), hang up or disconnect using the phone button with a picture of a phone at a 45 degree angle.
