Overview
Classroom Support helps faculty, staff, students, and visitors resolve issues with AV and computer equipment used for class sessions and presentations. The Houston on-site support team is available to troubleshoot technical problems, set up and configure audiovisual equipment, provide software guidance, and offer training on classroom technology tools and platforms.
Services are designed to ensure classroom technology is ready and functioning for both in-person and online learning environments.
Who Should Use This Service?
Visitors, Faculty, Staff and Students on the Houston campus should use this form to request support inside a classroom or to request classroom technology training.
What We Provide
Our dedicated IT experts can address a range of hardware and AV-related issues, including but not limited to:
- Display or projector operation (e.g., projector not turning on, displaying incorrectly)
- Connecting a laptop or tablet for display
- Audio playback issues (e.g., sound not working or too low)
- AV system touch panels or button controls (e.g., frozen or unresponsive)
- Using a document camera
- Using features of interactive systems (e.g., SMART Board, Ditto)
- Installed microphones (e.g., lecture hall microphone feedback or low volume)

Response and resolution times are based on operational hours (Monday through Friday from 8:00AM to 5:00PM).

| Please Note: Response Time is measured from ticket submission date/time until the ticket is moved to an 'In Process' status. Resolution Time is measured from ticket submission date/time until the ticket is completed/resolved. A ticket in an 'On Hold' status (e.g., IT is waiting for additional information from the requestor) does not count toward the Resolution Time |
