Instrtuctions for Logging on to ERS

ANNUAL ENROLLMENT FAIR AND PRESENTATIONS 

DENTON: The TWU Annual Enrollment Fair will be held at the ACT Lobby  on Tuesday, July 23rd from 10 AM to 1 PM, including a presentation in room 301 at 10:15, provided by ERS. 
DALLAS: The TWU Benefits Staff will visit the Dallas campus Wednesday, July 24th from 10 AM to 1 PM and will be presenting an overview of 2019-2020 benefit changes at 10:30 AM in IHSD 1010. 
HOUSTON: The TWU Benefits Staff will visit the Houston campus Tuesday, July 9th from 10 AM to 1 PM and will be presenting an overview of 2019-2020 benefit changes at 10:30 AM in IHSH 1120.

ANNUAL ENROLLMENT PERIOD – July 8, 2019 through July 26, 2019
This year’s annual enrollment period is from July 8, 2019 through July 26, 2019.  This is your opportunity to make changes to state and voluntary benefits. The attached rate sheet, provided by ERS, includes the premiums for the health and dental insurance plans, and all other state existing plans.  No action is required to maintain current benefits.  To make changes to your state benefits, you will sign into your ERS account at www.ers.state.tx.us during the Annual Enrollment Period or contact ERS directly at 1-877-275-4377.  Instructions to sign in are attached. 

If you plan to increase your optional life insurance or elect long-term or short-term disability Evidence of Insurability, (EOI) will be required.  Beginning June 24th you may start the online EOI process for optional term life Insurance, dependent term life Insurance, or short-term and long-term disability insurance.  The EOI process may be completed by using the attached instructions.

In its May 22 meeting, the ERS Board of Trustees approved rates for Plan Year 2020 (September 1, 2019 – August 31, 2020). 

 What's New for PY 2020

  • The annual in-network out-of-pocket maximum for all health plans will increase from $6,550 to $6,750 for individuals and from $13,300 to $13,500 for families. 
  • Effective September 1, 2019, KelseyCare powered by Community Health Choice will no longer be part of the GBP (Group Benefits Package).  Participants and their eligible dependents will be moved to HealthSelect of Texas, unless they choose the Consumer Directed HealthSelect option during Summer Enrollment.
  • Effective September 1, 2019, Delta Dental will be the third party administrator (TPA) for the State of Texas Dental Choice Plan, Preferred provider organization (PPO).  DeltaCare USA, an affiliate of Delta Dental, will become the new dental health maintenance organization (DHMO) carrier.
  • TexFlexSM plan:
    • There will be no administrative fees in PY2020
    • The IRS has increased the flexible spending account contribution limits for TexFlex health care and limited flexible spending accounts from $2,650 to $2,700.

DENTAL PLAN CHANGES

  • State of Texas Dental ChoiceSM preferred provider organization (PPO) rates will decrease slightly.

VISION PLAN CHANGES

  • The State of Texas VisionSM plan rates will decrease slightly.
