It is time to nominate and support those TWU staff members who have gone above and beyond their job duties to make Texas Woman’s University the institution that it is today.  Please take some time out of your busy schedules to consider and nominate a TWU staff member for the Feyten-Wick Health & Wellbeing Endowed Champion Award, the Outstanding Achievement Award, the TWU Award of Excellence. 

The Faculty & Staff Excellence Awards Ceremony will take place on April 17th. Time and location information is TBA, please check this page for updates on the event. 

Feyten-Wick Health & Wellbeing Endowed Champion Award

The Feyten-Wick Health & Wellbeing Endowed Champion Award recognizes and honors contributions from staff employees in one or more of the key areas of our TWU Health & Wellbeing Initiative

  • Eat Well
  • Mind Well
  • Move Well
  • Spend Well
  • Build Well

One non-exempt and one exempt staff member will be selected as recipients from the nomination pool and receive a $750 monetary award and plaque. Please review the award webpage and the nomination form for additional information on the Feyten-Wick Health & Wellbeing Endowed Champion Award, such as nomination criteria or past award winners. 

Outstanding Achievement Award

The TWU Outstanding Achievement Award recognizes the professional achievements of eligible staff employees that have contributed to the ongoing success of Texas Woman's University. Recipients of this award have provided high quality service, go above and beyond the expectations of their role, and consistently exhibit the core values of our institution. 

To be eligible for this award, nominated staff employees must:

  • Be full-time
  • Have a position beneath the director level 
  • A minimum of two (2) years of continuous service within their role 
  • Be in good standing 

Two employees will be presented this award, which consists of a monetary award of $250 as well as a plaque. Please nominate a staff member using this form

TWU Award of Excellence

The TWU Award of Excellence recognizes a staff employee that personifies excellence in all areas of their work. These staff employees take pride in supporting others, exemplify our core values, set an example of quality and dedication, and work towards advancing the goals and mission of the institution. 

To be eligible for this award, nominated staff employees must: 

  • Be full-time
  • Have a position beneath the director level 
  • A minimum of five (5) years of continuous service within their role 
  • Be in good standing 

One employee will be presented this award, which consists of a monetary award of $500 as well as a plaque. Please nominate a staff member using this form

Additional Selection and Nomination Information for Staff Awards

Staff employees are selected based on their achievements, accomplishments, and services to TWU. Department heads, deans, and vice-presidents are encouraged to add supportive justification or recommend additional employees as appropriate. 

Nominations for the "TWU Outstanding Achievement Awards" and "TWU Award of Excellence" must be submitted via the official nomination form no later than February 28th, 2025 at 5 p.m. CST. Nominated employees will have position title, employment dates, and standing verified through the Office of Human Resources to ensure eligibility. The TWU Staff Awards Selection Committee will review and deliberate nominations, and submit their recommendations to the Chancellor and President for final approval.
