Turning (Clickers) in Canvas (Students)

Turning is a Student Response System (SRS) that allows instructors to request information by presenting questions and for students to respond by using a “clicker” to send his or her information to be recorded. The clicker can be a Smartphone app or a Turning hand-held response device, and the response device and/or software license can be purchased at the university bookstore or online through Amazon or other retailers.

Turning Registration Resources

  1. Turning Registration - To begin you must create a Turning account in order to register your license. Once your license has been registered your Turning account will be linked to all of your Canvas courses for the current semester. You can also review the Turning Registration Video.

Participate in a Clicker/SRS classroom activity

  1. Using the Turning App - download and install Turning from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) before using this documentation
  2. Using a hand-held response device:
    1. QT2 (Audience Response Device)
    2. RF or LCD (Audience Response Device)
